Janice Cooke is a multiple NAACP Image Award-nominated, experienced producer/director and pilot director. Recently, Janice shot her second pilot, 4400 for CW, for which she was also EP for the season and directed multiples on JOE PICKETT.
Previously, she directed a block of BMF for Starz, a block of Netflix's hit series RAISING DION, SWAGGER for Apple, MANHUNT for Spectrum, ANIMAL KINGDOM for TNT, and STATION 19 & HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER for ABC. Janice directed the pilot and multiple episodes of GAMES PEOPLE PLAY for BET, for which she also served as EP.
Janice's Lifetime movie SURVIVING COMPTON: DRE, SUGE & MICHEL'LE won the 2017 Gracie Award for Best TV Movie. Her movie I AM SOMEBODY'S CHILD was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Best Directing in a TV Movie this year.
Other recent episodic credits include LA'S FINEST, STAR, and STEP UP: HIGHWATER, on which she was Producing Director. Janice has directed over 90 hours of television.
