Destiny Roman - Production Assistant/Writer/Director
My love for writing began in middle school. I started writing short stories, as an escape from my real life, and it felt good to create something. As I grew older I stopped writing but it was always in the back of my mind. I moved to California hoping to get into the industry and I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to be able to get my foot in the door as a production assistant, but I wanted to be a director. SMP Rise made ir possible.
Being in Los Angeles I learned that I can still be creative and also support myself (thanks to S.M.P. Rise) and I’m super excited for what the future holds and my journey. SMP Rise challenged me to finish and polish my script idea and I can hardly wait for the first day of filming and to see my project completed.
