Joy Kecken is a showrunner, director, writer-producer, playwright, and librettist. She was Executive Producer on Apple TV+’s Swagger and Co-Executive Producer on NatGeo’s Genius: MLK/X. She has written and directed for HBO’s The Wire and served as Co-Executive Producer on Kindred (FX) and Motherland: Fort Salem (Freeform). Additional writing credits include Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, Tales, and Homicide: Life on the Street.
